Only Resident Individuals above the age of 18 can open savings accounts through the portal

 

Q. I have an existing relationship with YES BANK, Can I open a new account through this portal?

Currently, only new to YES Bank Customers can open savings accounts. Existing YES BANK customers should approach nearby YESBANK branch to open Savings Accounts

 

Q. Can I open a joint account with my wife/ family?

Only Single holders can open account digitally, for any joint accounts, please visit nearby YES Bank Branch

 

Q. When would I get my account number and Customer ID?

Customer ID and Account number are provided instantly after submission of completed account opening application on the portal.

Q. What is the time taken to activate my savings account?

Limited KYC account with restrictions will be activated once you complete and submit the form in the portal. After the video KYC or face to face KYC verification is complete, your account will have no transaction or service restriction

 

Q. Which Debit card would I get along with the savings account?

Virtual Debit card is issued and sent to your registered email ID. Request for a physical debit card can be placed through YES ONLINE, YES Mobile or Branch

 

Q. How do I update Signature in my Savings account?

Please visit any nearby YES BANK Branch with a specimen signature/ Proof of Signature to update in the Bank’s records

 

Q. What are the documents that are needed during the Video KYC call?

During the video call, Bank official would validate the details filled in the form. Post validation, you would be asked to show original PAN Card

 

Q. What is my home branch after opening the savings account?

While the preferred banking branch can be selected by the customer while account opening, customer can approach any nearby YES BANK Branch for any banking transaction

 

Q. I just received an SMS for Video KYC link, what should I do?

Visit the link and self-authenticate using Name, DOB, Cust Id, Mobile Number and email id. Upon positive confirmation Video KYC call will be initiated to the YBL Video KYC User

 

Q. How do I select a different permanent address from eKYC (Aadhaar) address?

After eKYC is completed, address from Aadhaar is updated as Permanent address.

 

Q. How do I select a different communication address from eKYC (Aadhaar) address?

After eKYC is completed, address from Aadhaar is updated as Permanent address. Current Address has an option to be same as Permanent Address or to select a new one in “Others”

 

Q. How do I activate YES ONLINE using my Virtual Debit card?

Follow the steps below

  • Go to www.yesbank.in > Login > Retail. Keep your YES BANK Debit Card and PIN handy.

  • In Login ID, enter your Customer ID

  • Enter your 16 digit Debit card number and PIN

  • Make sure your mobile number is registered with us to receive OTP (one time password)

  • Set your password as guided on NetBanking screen.

 

Q. How do I activate YES Mobile using my Virtual Debit card?

Follow the steps below

  • Visit Google Play Store/iOS App Store and download YES MOBILE

  • Register using YES ONLINE Credentials

YES DIGITAL SAVINGS– FULL KYC Account FAQs:

Q. What is the balance requirement of the Full KYC YES Digital Savings Account?

Average Balance requirement of Savings account PRO is INR 10,000, Savings Account PRO Plus is INR 25000 & Savings Account PRO Max is INR 75,000 per month after completion of KYC validation. Alternatively you can choose to maintain FD worth 5 times the AMB requirement also.

 

Q. Do I get a cheque book along with the Full KYC YES Digital savings account?

For Full KYC accounts, Cheque book is issued Savings Account PRO Plus & Savings Account PRO Max customers. Request can be placed through by Savings Account PRO Customers in YES ONLINE, YES Mobile or Branch. Please note that for any cheques issued to be honoured, signature has to be updated in Bank records. If signature is not updated, Kindly visit the nearest branch to update your signature to avoid any instances of cheque return

 

YES DIGITAL SAVINGS– LIMITED KYC ACCOUNT FAQs:

Q. What is the balance requirement of the Limited KYC- YES Digital Savings Account?

Average Balance requirement of Limited KYC Digital Savings Account is INR 10,000 per month

 

Q. Do I get a cheque book along with Limited KYC - YES Digital savings account?

For limited KYC accounts, where Face to Face KYC or Video KYC is incomplete, Cheque book is not issued. To avail cheque facility, please complete Video call or Face to Face KYC document verification

 

Q. Will my account be active if my video KYC verification is incomplete?

Account will be active even if Video KYC is incomplete. However, following restrictions on the account will apply

  • Aggregate balance of all deposits cannot be more than Rs 1 Lac at any time

  • Aggregate credits cannot be more than 2 Lacs in a financial year

 

Q. What are the restrictions on my YES Digital Savings account, if face to face or Video KYC is incomplete? Can I book a fixed Deposit after my account is active?

Customer should abide to the following conditions:

  • Total balance in the account cannot be more than Rs 1 Lacs at any point in time

  • Aggregate credits cannot be more than 2 Lacs in a F.Y.

Following services are not provided to the customer,

  • Cash withdrawal at branch

  • Fixed Deposit/Recurring Deposit

  • DD/ DD- FCY issuance

  • Cheque issuance/ withdrawal

  • Investment account

  • Fixed Deposit/Recurring Deposit

  • Overdraft facility

  • Sweep in/ out facility

  • Investment in IPO

Above stated services are only provided after completing KYC verification through a Video Call or by visiting any branch and completing face to face KYC verification.

 

Q. How can I convert my Limited KYC account into a Full KYC account?

You can convert Savings Account into a Full KYC account by completing KYC verification through a Video Call or by visiting any branch and doing physical face to face KYC verification.

 

Q. What will happen if I don’t complete Face to Face or Video KYC verification within one year of account opening?

If you are unable to complete the KYC verification within one year of account opening, bank reserves its right to close the account with prior notification

 

Q. Can I make deposit/withdrawal transactions at any branch without completion of Face to Face KYC or Video KYC verification?

No, any kind of transactions at Branch are not possible without completion of Video KYC or face to face KYC verification process.

Q. What is virtual Debit Card? How do i use it?

YES Digital Limited and full KYC account comes with a free Virtual Debit Card. It can be used for all online shopping and payments. It is completely safe & secure.

Follow the steps below to view Virtual Debit Card in YES Mobile App:

  • Log in to YES Mobile with your MPIN

  • Select "Cards" from left side menu

  • Select "Debit Card" and then "View Virtual Card" option to view your Debit Card.

Virtual Debit Cards cannot be used at ATMs or Point Of Sale (POS) machines. If you wish, you can apply for a physical debit card as well.

 

Q. Can i have a physical Debit Card? How do i apply for one?

Yes, you can! Steps to request for a Physical Debit Card from YES ONLINE, YES Mobile or Branch.

YES ONLINE: Debit card dashboard > Click on “^” sign against the debit card to get a drop-down menu> Upgrade Card > select the card variant you want to apply for > Check the address for delivery > Verify & confirm via OTP.

Branch: Visit any YES Bank branch and submit debit card application form.

That’s it! Sit back and relax. You will receive your personalized Debit card within 7-10 working days.

Savings Account PRO is fully digital savings account and does not come with a physical welcome kit. However a personalized welcome kit is provided in both Savings Account PRO Plus and Savings Account PRO Max. Welcome kit is delivered within 7-10 working days after account opening.

 

Q. When will I receive a cheque book?

Cheque Book is available to Full KYC accounts. If you have opened Savings account PRO Plus or Savings Account PRO Max then you will receive cheques book in your welcome kit. To avail Personalized Cheque Book in Savings Account PRO, follow the steps below

  • Cheque book request > Select Account number, number of leaves and Click Request

  • Verify the details on next page by entering OTP send to registered Mobile Number

  • Confirm the details on the confirmation page and select Confirm

YES Mobile: Other services > Manage cheque> Cheque book request > Select account Number & click confirm

Q. When will the finds I transferred be available in my Account?

Generally, fund transfer through UPI/IMPS are credited instantaneously and NEFT/RTGS in a working day. If funds are not reflected on above timelines, please get in touch with us with the transaction reference number.

  • It is a payment method that lets you transfer money instantly, even between banks.
