Motor Insurance Policy

With a motor insurance policy, you can insure your motor vehicle from unforeseen risks and secure it against damages caused by an accident, disasters or loss, theft and third-party liabilities. The vehicle owner pays yearly premiums to the motor insurance company, and the insurer pays the claim in case of any damage to the vehicle due to accident or loss.

Roadside Assistance Cover

An untimely breakdown or an accident in the middle of nowhere can happen with any vehicle and anybody. Hence, it makes sense to be ready for such an eventuality with our Roadside Assistance Cover. In case your car breaks down or meets with an accident, the Roadside Assistance add-on can cover you for battery jump-start, towing facility, flat tyre or minor repairs assistance, hotel stay or even a cab ride.

Engine Protect cover

Engine is the heart of your car. If you stay in a region that is prone to flooding during the rains, or if you own a high-end car, then you should have this add-on to your ICICI Lombard Car Insurance Policy. It will cover the cost of having to repair or replace the most important part of your car- its engine!

Consumables cover

Petty repairs and replacement of consumables like nuts, bolts, A/C gas, oil filter, etc. in case of an accident or natural disaster are usually not covered unless you opt for the Consumables Protect add-on. To avoid these expenses altogether, and not worry about minor repairs, choose this add-on, and leave the rest to us!

Zero Depreciation cover

If you have a new car, this is add-on that you should not miss. More so, if you own a luxury or expensive car. The value of the car and its components depreciates with every passing day. This add-on offsets the value of depreciation that is otherwise applicable on any repairs or replacement involved while settling your car insurance claim.

Loss of personal belongings cover

This add-on covers the loss in case of your personal belongings go missing from your car or get damaged in a car accident.

Exclusions

  • Wear & tear and ageing of the car

  • Depreciation or any consequential loss.

  • Harm to/by a person driving the car under the influence of drugs or liquor.

  • Vehicles being used otherwise than in accordance with limitations as to use.

  • Wear & tear of consumables like tyres and tubes unless the vehicle is damaged in an accident, in which case we cover up to 50% of the replacement cost.

  • Mechanical/electrical breakdown.

  • Loss/damage due to war, mutiny or nuclear risk.

Cashless Claims:

In case of an unfortunate accident / breakdown, please call our toll free 1800 2666 and we would be glad to assist you.

Detailed description of steps:

  • Note the number of the other vehicle involved in the accident, if any.

  • Note down the names and contact details of witnesses, if any.

  • Contact our toll free number 1800 2666 and get your claim number / reference number.

  • The Call Centre Representative will provide you with the details of the documents required for claim processing and also details of our preferred cashless garage.

  • File an FIR at the police station nearest to the accident spot in case of third party property damage or bodily injury, theft, malicious damage, key loss and major accidents.

  • Take the vehicle immediately to a network garage.

  • Surveyor will contact you within 24 hours of registering the claim.

  • Submit all the required documents to the dealer / Surveyor and get them verified with the originals.

  • Our Surveyor will get the estimate for the repairs of your vehicle and give approval after assessment.

  • Payments that need to borne by us at our network garage will be made directly to the garage on completion of the repairs.

  • Our Surveyor will inform you about the balance amount that has to be paid by you as per policy terms and conditions.

Reimbursement Claim:

In case of an unfortunate accident / breakdown, please call our toll free 1800 2666 and we would be glad to assist you.

Detailed description of the process:

  • Note the number of the other vehicle involved in the accident, if any.

  • Note down the names and contact details of witnesses, if any.

  • Contact our toll free number 1800 2666 and get your claim number / reference number or alternatively send SMS as “CLAIM” to 575758 and you will receive call from call center representative

  • Surveyor will contact you within 24 hours of registering the claim.

  • Submit all the required documents to the Surveyor and get them verified with the originals.

  • ICICI Lombard will initiate the claim process.

  • ICICI Lombard will reimburse the approved claim amount directly to the customer.

  • The TAT for claim settlement is 4 days post receipt of all necessary details and documents
