Therefore, a key way to use your credit card is by entering the details of your credit card on a website where you to wish to make a purchase. However, you must be cautious about this and ensure that you are entering your credit card details only on trusted websites.

Physical Point of Sale: You can make purchases at a physical Point of Sale counter. There are two types of Point of Sale cards:

NFC Cards: NFC cards, or Near-Field Communication cards, are those cards where you are only required to tap the point of sale device, allowing for a quicker transaction. How to calculate EMI for credit cards

While converting your purchase into an EMI using your YES BANK credit card, it is essential for you to understand the monthly spend that you will undertake. The key amounts to keep in mind are the principal amount, the interest rate and the repayment duration.

While there are online calculators that you can use for this purpose, if you wish to do the calculation manually, here is the formula that you need to use:

EMI Amount is equal to: Amount divided by the Discount Factor. Let us assume the amount is Rs 1,00,000.

Here, the Amount is the Principal amount that you borrowed. What is the Discount Factor? Here is a break-down:

You need the following values:

  • N: The number of Payment periods. Let us assume you are doing 12 payments, each at a monthly basis. So, N is equal to 12

  • i: This is the annual interest rate divided by the number of payments in a year. Let us assume that the interest rate is 12%. We know that the payment periods are 12 as well. Thus, this becomes: 0.12/12 = 0.01

  • D: The formula for D is below:

Once D is obtained, you are required to do the following: A/D (Amount divided by D). That will give you your monthly EMI amount.

YES Bank Credit card interest rates

As credit cards continue to gain traction as a method of cashless payment, especially with the rise of digital India, many users constantly worry about the amount of interest they must pay to avail the services of the same. Here are a few factors to keep in mind about credit card interest rates:

  1. Interest Rates vary: While many users stick to cash payments or debit cards due to the worry of high interest rates, it should be noted that interest rates are different from consumer to consumer and card to card, and low rates of interest are not always a good thing.

  2. Getting a lower interest rate: Usually low interest rates are only offered to customers with a high net worth or those with a high credit score. To achieve the same, it is advised that customers pay their credit card bills on time and maintain a regular bill payment cycle. This not only helps you maintain a high credit score, but also enables you to have a good long-term relationship with your bank.

  3. Perks and Interest Rates: It should be noted that low interest on credit cards sometimes translates into lesser perks, so customers should survey card details effectively before committing to a card just because of the low rate of interest charged on the same.

Yes Bank Credit Card Reviews

While evaluating a credit card, it is essential to consider credit card reviews. They are an essential barometer of consumer trust in a card and the entity issuing the card. There are several trustworthy third-party websites that host credit card reviews for YES BANK cards.

In general, YES BANK cards have been reviewed positively by customers across parameters that have included Customer Service, Fees & Charges, Promised Interest Rate and Responsiveness. Going through credit card reviews in detail can help you remain assured that YES BANK credit cards provide high quality service and value.

The range of international credit cards offered at YES BANK truly make them an essential part of your financial toolkit.
