My ‘Green Good Deeds’ Pledge

As a Green Sainik, I consider it my moral responsibility to restore my environment and return it clean and green to the next generation.

I pledge to:

• Endeavor to reduce my environmental footprint, and always think green

• Plant and care for at least one tree on my birthday or special occasion

• Replace plastic bags with reusable bags for shopping

• Always close the tap while not in use

• Use electrical appliances judiciously and save electricity

• Manage domestic waste responsibly by segregating wet and dry waste at source

• Replace fossil fuels with renewable sources wherever possible

• Use public transport as the preferred mode of commute

• Read, send and store digital documents and reduce the use of paper

• Use eco-friendly and recycled products as much as possible

• Reduce, Reuse and Recycle paper, plastic and metal waste

• Be an advocate for sustainable living and share my green living tips with others

• Be the change I wish to see
