Mumbai, August 15, 2015: On the occasion of India's 69th Independence Day, YES BANK (@YesBank) - India’s fifth largest private sector bank launched a unique campaign inviting all Indians to 'raise' the Indian Tricolour on Twitter.

On Retweeting, each user gets a personalised reply that takes them to a virtual Indian flag which they’ve helped ‘raise’. Quite simply, the more Retweets the campaign gets, the faster the flag will rise to full mast.

This continues YES BANK’s commitment to innovating in the digital space and connecting with its existing and potential stakeholders across various media.

Taranjeet Singh, Business Head – India, Twitter added, “At Twitter we’re committed to creating engaging content for brands and our users. By using the Power of Now, this is a great example of how brands can tap in to the pulse of its consumer base. Independence Day is a topic of pride and hence conversation for all Indians across the world and #RaiseTheFlag is a smart innovation that gives YES BANK a great way to connect with its followers and beyond.”

In addition to contributing to raising the Tricolour, Twitter users can share their opinion on what they think India should say ‘YES’ to in 2015 by tagging YES BANK’s Twitter account (@yesbank) and using the hashtag #INDIAboleYES.

Speaking about the partnership, Rajat Mehta, President and Head of Brand, Digital and Retail Marketing, YES BANK added, “The word ‘YES’ encapsulates a spirit of positivity and dynamism that is driving the new India. YES BANK is here for this new India with products and services that help customers do more of every aspect of banking. The campaign ‘Raise The Tricolour’ and the philosophy of #INDIAboleYES are a tribute to this spirit of new India.”

YES BANK is the most followed bank on Twitter with over 5.2 lakh followers and has over 2.2 million fans on Facebook.
