A unique YES Community initiative to promote arts, culture and wild-life conservation
Kohima, November 26, 2013: YES BANK, India’s fourth largest private sector bank, is proud to partner with the Government of Nagaland to promote the Hornbill Art Festival to be held in Kohima, Nagaland. The festival, which is part of the famous annual Hornbill Festival, Asia’s largest tourism initiative attracts wild-life enthusiasts from all over the world. The Festival will be held from December 1 to 10, 2013 and will be inaugurated by the Honourable President of India, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee.

The festival offers an excellent platform to showcase the Naga art and culture to the world. The Hornbill Art Festival, a part of the annual Hornbill Festival is to be held from 1st to 10th Dec '13 at the Kisama Heritage Village, Kohima, Nagaland. This ambitious project is an initiative by the Government of Nagaland in collaboration with Rattle & Hum Society and XL Nagaland under the theme “Colours of Nagaland.” This Hornbill Festival aims to get contemporary artists from not just the North East, but across India and the world, to address the current environmental as well as socio-political issues and create awareness through the medium of art. In the tradition of large successful festivals such as those held in Berlin, Sharjah, Shanghai and Delhi, this festival hopes to raise consciousness by arts in response to urgent ecological and social issues affecting Nagaland and the world.
