Himachal government eases MSME norms to boost the sector

As per reports, the Himachal Pradesh government has decided to allow entrepreneurs setting up micro, small and medium businesses (MSMEs) in the state to implement their projects through a system of self-certification for the period of two years.

This move is likely to unshackle industry from the need to seek multiple clearances and permissions. The policy will also provide interest subsidy and financial aid for e-marketing, promotion, insurance and transit.

In addition to this, the Himachal Pradesh government is also likely to ease the norms for purchase and leasing of land for industrial functions to be able to make the process trouble-free and cut down the time taken to set up projects.

The government is also expected to take steps in promoting the state’s natural flora and fauna by promoting film and TV shoots for which a Film Development Fund for financing, providing benefits and developing a Film City has been proposed.

The declaration mentioned, “appealing economic advantages and grants will accept for capturing of regional films, vernacular movies and for the revival of closed cinema halls or for setting up of multiplexes and other centers of entrainment. The incentive can even be given for training of local artists and technicians.”
