I have been banking with Kandivali West (Hindustan Naka) Branch of YES BANK Limited for past few years.
Yesterday like many other fellow citizens, I too visited my YES BANK branch to deposit demonetised OHD notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000. There was crowd on both sides of the entrance of branch. I saw YES BANK personnel running in and out of branch to supervise things as well as interacting and explaining customers for smoother handling of the situation. After spending few minutes there, I could clearly understand following:
1. Separate queues have been earmarked for deposits and withdrawal/exchange
2. Tokens were issued for respective activity
3. Customers were given choice of leaving their name and mobile numbers, to be contacted when their turn would be about to come. I saw customers who received call from YES BANK as there turn has come.
Upon entering the branch I could see other staff of YES BANK helping out customers. Moreover, I saw two senior Executives of YES BANK visiting the branch at that particular time to supervise overall handling.
My turn came almost after half an hours wait, just before 5 PM. While depositing cash, Branch Leader suggested three of her colleagues at cash counters to go for lunch, turn by turn. It was almost 5 pm, and they all 3 refused to go on break, stating "customers have been waiting for hours, we will first serve the customers ".
Only thing I could tell the team of YES BANK was "today you are doing a service beyond customer service....i.e today you all are serving the nation ....and as an YES BANK customer and fellow citizen I feel proud of you all";
I congratulate YES BANK entire YES BANK Kandivali West branch team, for their dedicated, well planned, professional approach of calmly handling the situation.
