Rana Kapoor received an Honorary Fellowship from All India Management Association (AIMA), Doctorate in Science (Honoris Causa) from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, India’s foremost and oldest Agri University, for his contribution to the Food & Agribusiness sector in INDIA. He holds an MBA degree from Rutgers’ University in New Jersey, U.S.A. (1980), and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) from the University of Delhi (1977). In May 2016, he was recognized by the London Business School India Business Forum for Exemplary Contribution to Innovation and Entrepreneurship, he was also adjudged the CEO of the Year at the Legal Era Awards and Best CSR Leadership Award (Gold) at the 8th Annual Global CSR Summit and Awards in Bali. He was also felicitated by the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai for his exemplary contribution to fostering Entrepreneurship in India and by the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode for his Exemplary Contribution to Financial Services. He was also felicitated by The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) for his "Exemplary Contribution to Agribusiness in Emerging Economies". Mr. Kapoor was honored by the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Outstanding contribution to the Growth and Welfare of the State of Goa. He was also honored for ‘Contribution towards promoting India-Canada bilateral relations’ by The High Commission of Canada & The Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC). Mr. Kapoor was also presented the first ever ‘C Rangarajan Award for Excellence in Banking’ at the 38th SKOCH Summit. Mr. Kapoor was felicitated for Lifetime Contribution for Promotion of Indian Tourism by the Pacific Asian Travel Writers Association, ITB Berlin. Mr. Kapoor received the ‘Best Business Innovator’ award at the Asia Business Leadership Forum. He was recognized as ‘Visionary Business and Banking Leader’ by NAREDCO, MCHI- CREDAI and FHRAI for his extraordinary contributions to Housing & Construction, Urban Infrastructure, Tourism and Hospitality sectors among others in 2014. He had earlier received The Asian Banker CEO Leadership Achievement Award for India, 2013. He has also received the 2013 Godfrey Phillips ‘National Special Social Award’ for actively driving the vision of Responsible Banking. He was acknowledged as the BS Banker of the Year 2011 by Business Standard, and received the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2011. Mr. Kapoor received the Indian Business Leader of the Year award at the FICCI-Horasis Global Indian Business Meeting 2010 in Spain, and was awarded the Start-up Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
Prior to establishing YES BANK, Rana Kapoor was CEO & Managing Director, and main Managing Partner of Rabo India Finance (RIF) Pvt. Ltd. (a corporate finance and investment banking organisation). He successfully spearheaded RIF as a foreign joint venture financial services organization in partnership with Rabobank (AAA rated) in India and assiduously built RIF as a Professional Entrepreneur from 1998-2003. Thereafter he sold his shareholdings to Rabobank, Netherlands, in early 2003.
Prior to starting Rabo India, he was the General Manager & Country Head: ANZ Grindlays’ Investment Bank (ANZIB, from 1996-98). He spent 15 years at Bank of America (1980-1995), where he last headed the Bank’s Wholesale Banking businesses and held several positions of increasing responsibility, including assignments in Asian countries. He was presented the Eagle Pin by the Chairman of Bank of America in 1990, the highest professional recognition for consistent performance excellence at Bank of America, amongst several other enterprising achievements.

Mr. Ashok Chawla
“ Mr. Ashok Chawla has been appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Chairman of YES BANK on October 30, 2016. ”

Mr. Ashok Chawla has been on the Board of YES BANK since March 2016 and currently holds the position of Non-Executive Independent Chairman of YES Bank Limited since October 30, 2016.
Prior to joining YES BANK, Mr. Ashok Chawla was the Chairman of the Competition Commission of India (“CCI”). Mr. Chawla has been a distinguished civil servant with over 40 years of experience in various sectors of the economy in India as well as in International Multilateral agencies. He obtained his Masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics in 1972 and joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1973. He started his career in the State of Gujarat and held various positions, including Chief Executive of important State-Owned enterprises. Notably, he was the head of the multi-billion dollar Sardar Sarovar Narmada multi-purpose project.
In the late 1980's, he was posted as Economic Counsellor in the Indian Embassy in Washington DC, USA.
Between 1998 and 2011, Mr. Chawla worked in several senior positions in the Federal Government at Delhi. He has been Permanent Secretary in key ministries of the Government of India such as Finance, Economic Affairs, and Civil Aviation.
He has been on the Boards of Reserve Bank of India, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority, State Bank of India and Life Insurance Corporation of India. He was also at different points in time India's Executive Director on the International Fund for Agricultural Development, Alternate Governor for India at the World Bank and at the Asian Development Bank.
Mr. Chawla had also held leadership positions in the corporate sector. He has been Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited and a Director on the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
In view of his rich and diversified experience, after his retirement from the civil service, he was appointed as the Chairman of the CCI for the period 2011-2016. The CCI is a new market-economy regulator to ensure fair play by business and Industry and it gained immensely in stature during this period.

Lt Gen (Dr) Mukesh Sabharwal has been on the Board of YES Bank since April 2012 as an Independent Director.
A hardcore professional, Gen Sabharwal had an outstanding service career, spanning over 40 years in the Indian Army that began with successfully fighting in the Indo-Pakistan War in 1971. He has a rich operational experience having served in Siachen, Ladakh, Manipur in North East India, and several tenures in Jammu and Kashmir engaged in counter terrorist operations.
He was the Corps Commander of the sensitive 15 Corps at Srinagar responsible for maintaining internal security and stability within the Kashmir Valley. He was the Security Advisor to the J&K Government in 2007-08 during the President’s Rule arising out of the Amarnath Shrine Board agitation.
Appointed as the Adjutant General of the Indian Army in 2008, he managed the entire Human Resources of over 11 lakh officers and soldiers and interests of 22 lakh ex-servicemen. He has sound experience in policy formulation, implementation and monitoring of manpower planning, personnel services, recruitment, selection, discipline, vigilance, welfare and security.
Having done his schooling from St. Columba’s High School, Delhi, he has completed his Masters in Defence Studies from Madras University and Masters in Management Studies from Osmania University. He is also a Master of Military Arts and Science from CGSC University, Kansas, USA, a Master of Strategic Studies from US Army War College, Pennsylvania, USA and an M(Phil) in Defence Studies from Madras University.
He completed his PhD from the Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi in 2015. The subject of his thesis was “Terrorism in South Asia and its Relationship to India’s Security”.
He was awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal for distinguished services of an exceptional order by the President of India. Earlier, he had been awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal, the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and the Bar to Ati Vishisht Seva Medal.
He retired from service in 2011. In 2015, he was nominated by the Raksha Mantri to Chair a Committee of Experts to review the litigation and grievances in the Defence Services of India.
In 2016, he was a member of the RMC Expert Committee to review the combat potential of the Defence services.
